Auction Academy Sponsors Play Vital Role in Restructured Program

As Auction Academy executes a modified format for its course training, its sponsors continue to play a vital role in the success of the program. In June, Auction Academy President Penny Wanna announced that the Academy had launched a Virtual Classroom for the remainder of 2020 for its current Class 6 Group. The Group’s previously scheduled quarterly meetings for 2020 are replaced by monthly virtual sessions, with in-person/on-site training and education sessions resuming in February of 2021. The continued support of the Academy’s sponsors has been a prime factor in the success of the restructured program, says Wanna. Auction Academy Opens Virtual Classroom for Training Through End of Year

Auction Academy has launched a virtual classroom for the remainder of 2020 for its current Class 6 Group, reports Auction Academy President, Penny Wanna. The Group’s previously-scheduled quarterly meetings for 2020 will be replaced by monthly virtual sessions, beginning June 22nd. In-person/on-site training and education sessions will resume in February of 2021.“Due to the COVID19 Pandemic and its many effects on our daily lives, Auction Academy has made the difficult decision to not host any in-person sessions for the rest of 2020,” said Wanna, who notes that the change comes half-way through the Class Group’s original two-year Course Syllabus. “The remaining foursessions will be scheduled on a quarterly basis in 2021.” Wanna reports that although students and staff will not meet in its traditional in-person format, Auction Academy is taking measures to continue the Class Group’s momentum, stay connected and provide the current students with a learning environment. Auction Academy Completes First Session of 2020 with Facility Tours and Instruction

FRANKLIN, Tennessee – Auction Academy, a career-continuing education program developed by TPC Management Company (TPC) for professionals in the auto auction industry, announced that its current 2-year Class Group, Class 6, met together on February 27-29, 2020 for the 4th of 8 training and education sessions. Launched in May of 2019, the 6th Class Group convened in Birmingham, Alabama, where they were hosted by Tom and Cathy Adams for dinner in their home that also included an opening session headed by Chuck Redden of AutoTec.The next morning the group toured two auction facilities — ADESA Birmingham, and America’s Birmingham Auto Auction – where auction GM’s Ed Burton (ADESA) and Russ Sapp (America’s) gave thorough tours of their facilities and sat with the class for Q&A.
