FRANKLIN, Tennessee (Feb. 5, 2018) — IARA CAR Certification will now be included in Auction Academy’s two-year training curriculum, announced Penny Wanna, Academy President. The addition to the Academy’s course of study takes place immediately and is the outcome of IARA’s move to participate as a major sponsor of Auction Academy.

“Adding the CAR Certification training to our two-year course of study is a significant milestone for Auction Academy, and we are grateful to IARA for its sponsorship and support,” said Wanna. “CAR Certification is the gold standard for automotive remarketers, and this training will be an invaluable part of our curriculum. It will not only enhance the students’ understanding of the remarketing process but will elevate the skill set of our current and future class participants.”

IARA’s Car Certification program addresses all steps of the remarketing process, starting with the consignment and grounding of the vehicle, through the completion of wholesale transactions and upstream selling..

The Birmingham event will also include tours of America’s Birmingham and ADESA Birmingham auction facilities, where a previous Auction Academy graduate, Jason Murdock, will lead the group in a hands-on workshop focusing on Frame Damage and Repairs. The group will also participate in training forums conducted by AutoTec, Auto Check, Auction Insurance Agency, AJ Gallagher Insurance, AuctionACCESS, OVE, Liquid Motors and Used Car News.

“Our goal is for all 24 students in the current class group “Class 5” to complete all 20 modules of the CAR Certification course within their remaining 13 months of the Academy. They will mark their graduation from Auction Academy and be officially recognized as CAR Certified during the 2019 Conference of Automotive Remarketing,” said Wanna.
